Overview
The vision of Outreach Ministries is to reach into our community, our city and our world through financial and volunteer investment in like-minded ministries, by mobilizing the people of Wellspring to express their faith by giving of themselves in service to others, and through the development of individuals who will invest themselves in this work as a full-time career.
We believe that Jesus Christ gave the church its purpose in Matthew 28:19-20, “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
Therefore, our purpose as a church is “to lead people to a life of faith in Christ and to a life of full devotion to Christ.”
God expects us as a church family to fulfill this charge in our own relationships in our neighborhoods, at work, and with our families, and he also wants us to share this truth around the world to all the people of the world who have never heard of the wonderful gift God has given us. We at Wellspring have identified and support financially men and women whom God has gifted and called to take the message of Jesus to other people groups. Those ministering overseas are listed as Global Outreach – those ministering in the Michigan area are listed as Local Outreach.
